How I Reduced My Pigmentation Naturally: My Simple Home Remedy That Worked in 20 Days

If you have pigmentation on your face, no matter how old it is, today I want to share a remedy with you that has worked amazingly for me.

Actually, I found two magical benefits from this one remedy. The first one was that it tightened my skin, and the second one was that it reduced my pigmentation. I have already written a separate post about skin tightening because if I combine both topics into one article, it will become too long and difficult to read. So, in this post, I will only talk about pigmentation.

This is not just something I heard about and wrote. I personally tried this remedy for 20 days after someone recommended it to me, and I got two wonderful results. First, my skin became tighter, and second, my pigmentation started fading.

My pigmentation was not very old, but it had been there for almost three years. Many people have pigmentation that has been there for years, and I believe this remedy can help them too. It may take a little longer for older pigmentation, but with consistency, I believe it will work.

Earlier, my skin used to be very clear and glowing. Later, I started noticing small patches of pigmentation. The interesting thing is that I never used any creams or chemical products, so I started wondering what the actual reason could be.

What Causes Pigmentation?

Before talking about the remedy, let's first understand some of the main reasons behind pigmentation.

1. Hormonal Imbalance

In my opinion and from my own experience, one of the biggest causes of pigmentation is hormonal imbalance. When your hormones become unbalanced, pigmentation can start appearing automatically.

There are many reasons for hormonal imbalance, but the most common ones are:

  • Stress

  • Lack of proper sleep

  • Mental pressure

I am simply sharing my own experience because these were the reasons that affected me. My sleep was not complete, I had stress, and my hormones became unbalanced, which I believe caused my pigmentation.

2. Not Drinking Enough Water

Another major reason is not drinking enough water.

When you drink less water, your skin becomes dull, dry, and dehydrated. Pigmentation can also become more noticeable.

Think about a plant. If you do not water it for two days, it starts looking weak and lifeless. But when you give it water, within a short time it looks fresh again.

Our skin works in a similar way. When your body is hydrated from the inside, your skin naturally glows. If there are small skin problems, your body can repair them better. But when you don't drink enough water, your skin starts showing the effects.

3. Too Many Chemical Products

Another common cause is the excessive use of chemical products such as:

  • Skin creams

  • Facial treatments

  • Bleach

  • Harsh cosmetic products

Too much sun exposure is also a major reason for pigmentation. Spending a lot of time in direct sunlight can make pigmentation worse.

These are the main causes that I personally wanted to share.

What Is the Solution?

Before using any remedy, I think these simple habits are very important.

Improve Your Diet

An unhealthy diet can also contribute to pigmentation. Try to eat healthy and include fresh foods in your daily routine.

Balance Your Hormones

If you think hormonal imbalance is causing your pigmentation, consult a good doctor and work on improving your overall health.

Drink More Water

The more water you drink, the better your skin will stay hydrated, healthy, and glowing.

Exercise Daily

Exercise helps improve blood circulation and supports healthy hormone balance. Better circulation means your body can naturally repair itself.

Also, avoid unnecessary weight gain because it can also affect hormonal balance.

Follow a Simple Skin Care Routine

Wash your face at least twice a day.

Personally, I do not use soap because I feel it can make the skin dry. I usually use gram flour (besan) mixed with a little water to cleanse my face.

My Simple Home Remedy for Pigmentation

Now let's move to the remedy itself.

This remedy is very simple and only requires three ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Alum (Phitkari)

  • Glycerin

  • Honey

Alum has many amazing benefits. If I start writing about all of them, this article would become much longer. It has been used for years, even for purifying muddy water, and it also has many wonderful benefits for the skin.

Glycerin helps keep the skin hydrated because alum can sometimes make the skin feel dry.

Honey helps nourish the skin and gives the mixture a smooth texture.

How to Make It

Take equal amounts of:

  • Alum powder

  • Glycerin

  • Honey

Mix all three ingredients well in a bowl and leave the mixture for about two or three minutes so everything blends properly.

How to Apply It

First, wash your face thoroughly.

Then apply the mixture to your face or only to the areas where you have pigmentation.

Leave it on for about 20 minutes or as long as you feel comfortable. Personally, I apply it and continue doing my daily work.

You may feel a slight tingling sensation, but that is normal. If you do not have cuts or open wounds on your skin, it should not cause any problems.

Because of the honey, the mask feels a little sticky, but otherwise it is comfortable to wear.

You can use it before taking a bath or anytime during the day.

The Results I Noticed

After using this remedy consistently for about 20 days, I noticed:

  • A healthy glow on my face.

  • Firmer and tighter skin.

  • Softer and smoother texture.

  • My open pores started looking smaller.

  • My pigmentation became lighter.

I have also tried many creams from the market, but I personally feel that once you stop using them, the pigmentation often comes back because of the chemicals.

The best thing about this remedy is that it is simple and natural.

After washing it off, apply a light moisturizer. Sometimes I simply use a small amount of Vaseline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this remedy safe?

In my personal experience, yes. It does not contain harsh chemicals like many commercial creams.

Is it suitable for all skin types?

Yes. I think it works well for oily skin combination, and dry skin because glycerin helps prevent excessive dryness.

What if I have pimples or cuts?

If you have open cuts, pimples wounds, or painful active acne, it is better to treat those first. After your skin heals, you can start using this remedy.

How long does it take to show results?

Consistency is the most important thing.

I personally noticed a clear difference after 20 days. If your pigmentation is older, it may take longer.

Many products claim to show results in just five days, but natural skin improvement takes time. You may notice small changes earlier, but visible improvement comes with regular use.

Final Thoughts

I only share the things that I personally try and experience myself. I do not simply write blogs without testing them.

I am also using another wonderful natural ingredient that I will share with you in my next blog post.

For now, try this remedy consistently for a few weeks and see how it works for you. If you get good results, please share your feedback with me and recommend it to others as well.
